Redington Pass Dispersed Camping

Hey there, fellow adventurers! Have I got some hilarious tales to tell you about my recent camping trip to Redington Pass. But before I get into the nitty-gritty, let me show you some epic shots I took with my trusty camera.

This is the perfect example of why I love dispersed camping - no crowds, no noise, just pure bliss. Now, let me tell you about the wild ride we had getting here...

Now, this shot may look serene and peaceful, but let me tell you, getting to this spot was no easy feat. My friend and I drove up a steep, rocky incline that I wouldn't recommend attempting without a sturdy 4x4 vehicle. But we made it, and the view was worth every heart-pumping moment.

Now, I don't want to brag (okay, maybe I do a little), but I caught this stunning sunset while roasting marshmallows with my crew. I mean, could it get any more picture-perfect than this? (Spoiler alert: it did, but you'll have to keep reading to find out.)

Okay, now it's story time. As I mentioned earlier, getting to our campsite was quite the adventure. But that was just the beginning. The first night, we set up camp and started a roaring bonfire. We were having the time of our lives until...cue the ominous music...we heard rustling in the bushes.

Naturally, we assumed it was a curious raccoon or maybe even a friendly deer. But then we heard a growl. Yup, you read that right. A GROWL. We all froze, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound. That's when we saw them - a pack of coyotes staring us down from the edge of our campsite.

We quickly realized that we were in THEIR territory now. But instead of freaking out (okay, maybe there was a little bit of freaking out), we decided to channel our inner Jedis and make ourselves look as intimidating as possible. We stomped around, shouting, throwing sticks, and generally acting like a bunch of maniacs.

And you know what? It worked. The coyotes got the message loud and clear that we were not to be messed with, and they retreated into the night. We spent the rest of the trip feeling like total badasses, even if we did whimper a little every time we heard a twig snap in the darkness.

But wait, there's more! The next day, we decided to do a little exploring and stumbled upon a hidden waterfall tucked away in the mountains. It was like something out of a fairytale - sparkling water, lush greenery, and complete solitude. We spent hours swimming, sunbathing, and generally feeling like we were the only people left on earth. And then...cue the even more ominous music...we heard thunder in the distance.

Now, I've been caught in a few downpours in my day, but nothing could have prepared me for the deluge that descended on us. It was like a biblical flood, I kid you not. But instead of panicking, we decided to embrace the chaos and have a good old-fashioned mud fight. Yes, we were muddy, soaking wet, and squishing around in our shoes for the rest of the trip, but we had a blast.

And that, my friends, is why camping at Redington Pass is not for the faint of heart. But if you're up for a little adventure, some stunning scenery, and maybe even a run-in with some wild animals, then this spot is definitely worth a visit. Just don't forget your Jedi skills and your sense of humor!
